If you are looking for multimedia animations explaining nanotechnology concepts, the best site we have found is NANOPOLIS, the e-collaborative multimedia producer exclusively dedicated to nano-biotechnology knowledge. It offers more than 10,000 scientific validated animations and e-learning pages, available online (at their Online Multimedia Library) and offline (though the multimedia encyclopedic series, in CD-ROM or downloadable format).

These nanotechnology products might actually be useful in learning key technical concepts. Nanopolis has built a large collection of animated, annotated color graphics and accompanying text, with a ”Legend“ button that adds labels to the graphics whenever you need them. The combination of color and movement with both text and optional labels can really help in making these complex concepts easier to understand (and a lot less boring to learn).

Nano Exhibit Design and Construction

by Frank Bettencourt

Frank Bettencourt has been part of our team of experts since the decade of the 90's and we highly recommend his excellent work.      Judith Light Feather, President TNTG Inc.

If you are planning a Nano Exhibit for travel or stationary exposure to the public, follow the link to his website and contact Frank for discussions on your design and construction.

A personal note from Frank Bettencourt ...on his role as Artist and Exhibit Designer for museums and education projects.

Personally, I have been involved in the design, preparation and graphics involved in numerous exhibits over the last 30 years. From hanging paintings in galleries to designing and building a National Geographic exhibit about Angkor Wat, all exhibits were important. They all had the same value. They educated the public.

I want to thank all the individuals that I worked with, through the years, for their dedication to educating the general public. The exhibit viewer will never know the stress and hard work all of us went through to complete exhibits that touched the minds of so many individuals. Everyone may remember the King or Queen in an ancient pyramid, nobody remembers who laid the cornerstone and completed the building.

Please feel free to contact my company, ARTS (art-related technical services), through this web site, for any unique, specialized design and graphic projects.

The pictures on the site represent a small sample of my work in design, graphics and preparation, sometimes all three in the same exhibit. I am very proud of my role as an educator and craftsman. -  Frank Betterncourt
